You can now view applicant info through our website. [Click here] to see highlights from resumes and applications of the top seven candidates. A rubric is included if you’d like to evaluate them yourself.

At Tuesday's County Commissioner's meeting, people can sign up to speak, and tell them how we wish they'd vote. They'll probably get to vote on the liaison next week.

🎤If you are interested in speaking, here are some thoughts to consider, shared by Karla Powers:

"Our goal on Tuesday is to show that we are not just 150 complainers, but a large amount of citizens who can't sit by, watching their libraries get shut down. Also, we'll once again ask for [a one-time payment to PPLD of] $200k to keep Rockrimmon open for a year while we have more time to look into options. The city has 4 community centers, none of which are in our area, averaging $700,000 EACH per year to maintain. We have no community center besides the library. We are also asking City Council to use their influence over the PPLD Board of Trustees that they helped to elect and can also remove, to work with us."

Our fear is that the Pikes Peak Library Board of Trustees isn’t planning to stop at closing one library or even two.
